Rodriguez Summer Temple Challenge
This summer's challenge for myself is to see how many temples the members of our family can touch.
Here's a start:
Andy chose to do baptisms at the temple for his 13th birthday!
Los Angeles Temple
Austin went to EFY and also stayed with The Danny Rodz family:
Here is Austin in front of the
Mt. Timpanogos Temple
Some of us got to enjoy an amazing weekend with my
brother's family in RedlandsRyan returned from his mission, William & Jeffrey are getting ready to go.
We are proud of them!
Here we are in front of the
Redlands Temple
Maybe we'll get San Diego while we are already down south. :0)

Another Favorite Quote
May I invite you to rise to the great potential within you.
But don’t reach beyond your capacity.
Don’t set goals beyond your capacity to achieve.
Don’t feel guilty or dwell on thoughts of failure.
Don’t compare yourself with others.
Don’t compare yourself with others.
Do the best you can,and the Lord will provide the rest.
Have faith and confidence in Him,
and you will see miracles happen in your life
and the lives of your loved ones.
and the lives of your loved ones.

Conference Tidbit
I think Elder Uchdorf was at my house, because he must have been talking to me when he said this at last conference.
"The Savior revealed the perfect priorities for our lives…when He spoke of love as the great commandment upon which “hang all the law and the prophets.”We can spend our days obsessing about the finest details of life, the law, and long lists of things to do; but should we neglect the great commandments, we are missing the point and we are clouds without water, drifting in the winds, and trees without fruit."

I gotta remember what really counts is LOVE!

Positive Parenting
Found this while reading the Church News. I really needed this today -
Give Daily Outpourings of Love!
Children, especially adolescents thrive on recognition and acceptance. Parents should look for opportunities to praise their children – accomplishments need not be monumental to deserve parental recognition and praise. Youth in the study… with low levels of spirituality and confidence overwhelmingly reported that they received far more criticism than praise from their parents and rarely felt respected and acceptable.
Encourage Expressions of Ideas & Feelings!
Study found that young people who have internalized the gospel, gained their own testimonies, and developed a healthy sense of individual worth are those whose parents have counseled with them but have not sought to control them emotionally and intellectually.
How could I NOT parent positively when I am blessed with four AMAZING boys!
